Benefits & Features of Lindner Learning Center, Inc.'s School Programs

Flexibility

Not only do we create individual schedules and academic presentations for each student based on the needs of the student and family, we can serve as either the full-time school or supplementation to a traditional school program. For example, one student at our center comes in for daily instruction from 10-2 Monday thru Thursday. This allows him to take classes at another local high school in the morning and to work in the afternoons. Another student attends competitive swim training twice daily.  Between his training sessions he moves through his academic work through SOAR. We work with each family individually to create a plan, based on these types of individual needs.

Comprehensiveness

This program is designed to focus on accredited, academic work, and incorporates various centerpiece programs, such as Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes® and Orton Gillingham, for those students who can benefit from the additional academic and social support. For example, we have a student who is a full-time student, but besides just academics, we incorporate SAT preparation and reading comprehension work as part of his regular tutorial day. We also have the capability to rapidly progress through courses should your student already show mastery of the material.

Personalization

What makes us unique is our ability to offer educational choices to students and families. LLC works with families to determine schedules, course work, supplemental programs, and parental contact. Your child will be treated like OUR child when they are moving through coursework at our school.

Supplementation

Even though we offer full-time schooling, we will also gladly work in tandem with any school system in the area, so that your student can maintain enrollment in a traditional school, while supplementing credits through our program. The benefit of this is that some students struggle in particular academic areas, and they can focus on those areas here in a one-on-one setting. For example, a parent contacts us regarding a student who is struggling in math. We will work with the school system to have the student take that course or any others in this unique, structured setting, in addition to his or her normal school day.

Mentoring

Our staff can work with students in a variety of subject areas to help students retake courses that have been previously failed. For example, a student may be classified as a junior but has failed sophomore English and requires that credit to graduate. We can help the student re-take the course and transfer the grade into his or her school.

Socialization

We offer various activities and programs to work with students in social training. Most of this work can be incorporated directly into the student's school day.

Training

Our incredible staff is trained in working specifically with students who have special needs or requirements. Our one-on-one setting allows us the latitude to formulate specific, obtainable goals for each student.
